50 Years Of The London Boroughs: Growing Up

As part of the ongoing activities marking the London Boroughs’ 50th anniversary, London Councils has gathered together a unique library of archive images from 1965 to 2015.

LB Enfield, climbing wall at Chesterfield School, 2014 (Enfield Council)

These pictures of London children in school and at play over the last 50 years illustrate the responsibilities boroughs have for educating and looking after London's young people.

London Councils delves deeper into how local leadership helped improve London schools over that period and discusses some of the major challenges that boroughs have faced providing social care in the capital in recent years. They also have more pictures with more information about them.
