Slinkachu is an urban artist who has gained fame by posing miniature figures around London and photographing them. But this description does his work a disservice as they are carefully crafted and placed in imaginatively derived situations.

Bathers relax in the melted run-off from a lollipop and a graffiti artist tags a leaf while hanging from it. These are some of the photographs from his latest show, aptly titled miniaturesque, at Andipa gallery in South Kensington. The exhibition will include limited edition photographs and some sculptural pieces as well — and one of these promises to be a very special version of the Thames.

Slinkachu likes to juxtapose our urban surroundings with scenes of nature and vice versa to remind us of our detachment from the natural world. We love his mixture of fantasy and humour, and are looking forward to this show.

Slinkachu: Miniaturesque is on at Andipa gallery, 162 Walton St, SW3 2JL from 13 March to 11 April. Entrance is free.
