What started as a prank by a New York improv group — going on the subway/tube/metro system without wearing any lower outer garments — has become an international phenomenon, as we can see every year from what people are Googling to get to Londonist. On Sunday afternoon, this group of hardy souls removed their trousers and took the tube between Leicester Square and Arsenal (fnar) and back again (though as you can see from our photos, some pants wearers went rogue on the Northern line). We love the nonchalance of the unsuspecting passengers around them: 'yeah yeah, whatever, it's just London innit?'.
