Get your family in the Christmas spirit this year by taking a stroll through Syon Park's Enchanted Woodland, just a hop across the river from Kew Gardens. For the ninth year, Syon Park's gardens and Great Conservatory will be lit up with a multitude of colourful lights, creating a mile long route weaving through the trees, perfect for exploring.
The Enchanted Woodland is open to visitors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, from 5pm in late November and early December. The lights are switched off at 9pm, so last entry is at 8pm to allow plenty of time to wander the full route and play with some of the interactive light displays.
The Refectory in the Garden Centre will be open selling hot and cold drinks, including mulled wine, plus a BBQ. There are toilets at the beginning and end, but not along the route.
Syon Park's Enchanted Woodland runs 21 November-7 December. Tickets are £7 for adults and £3 for children (3-16yrs), 2 years and under go free. Suitable for all ages.
Nearby: If you're looking to wear the little ones out a bit before you go, Snakes and Ladders Indoor Playground is nearby, as is the great outdoors of Kew Gardens.
