Tickets For Boring Conference On Sale Friday

boringconference

Twitter has been a-quiver with news that the Boring Conference is back. It's a celebration of the outwardly ordinary, mundane and prosy but which, on peeking beneath the surface, reveal hitherto undreamed of depths.

Previous topics have included yellow lines, sneezing, London shop fronts and toast, enthused about by speakers like Robin Ince, Josie Long and Jon Ronson. There's no word on precisely what will be covered or who will be appearing this year, but when revealed we don't doubt the list will be gratifyingly nerdy.

This, the fourth Boring Conference, takes place on 31 May at Conway Hall, Holborn. It takes the moniker Boring IV, throwing off the shackles of annual naming after Boring 2013 did not happen because, says organiser James Ward:

"life was, if you’ll forgive my levity, quite interesting for me. I won an all-expenses weekend at a hotel in Croydon in a coupon competition with my favourite packet of snacks. It was on the weekend that I had earmarked in my planner, so I had to postpone."

The first batch of tickets gets released 1pm on Friday 28 February. The first 100 will cost £15, then it's £20 / £15 concessions. A further batch of tickets go on sale at 1pm on Friday 7 March. Boring IV will sell out, so get organised.
