Ditch Digital With The London Analogue Festival

analoguefest

Rediscover old technologies at the London Analogue Festival in Deptford this weekend.

For anyone fed up with the shininess of digital, this festival celebrates photography, sound and moving images that haven't been anywhere near the dreaded 'd' word. It's all free, so wander in and experience film screenings, exhibitions and talks from people working in analogue media.

You can also join workshops, including Andrew Millar demonstrating instant film manipulation techniques (7 September, 2pm), an introduction to pinhole photography in urban landscapes (8 September, 12pm) and Lomography teaches a class all about the wide-angle lens La Sardinia (7 September, 1pm). This one does cost £10 but includes the loan of a camera, a roll of film and a discount on processing, so fair enough. Book by calling 020 7434 1466.

The London Analogue Festival runs 7-8 September at various venues in Deptford, including The Old Police Station, Deptford Town Hall and Amersham Arms. Entry is free.
