Bush Hall Hosts First London Musical Film Festival

Fans of musicals should head to Bush Hall this week, for the first London Musical Film Festival.

Running from Saturday 15 to Tuesday 18 June, the short-but-sweet showcase features six classic screen musicals, plus a concert from internationally known baritone, David Serero. David founded the Musical Film Festival in Paris in 2012, and is hoping to replicate its success here in London.

Saturday's line-up features Beauty and the Beast, The Man of La Mancha and Les Miserables; while on Sunday you can choose from Dreamgirls, the UK premiere of the Duke Ellington musical Beggar's Holiday and Fiddler on the Roof. Then there's live action on Tuesday as Serero himself provides a concert of opera, Broadway musicals, popular song and comedy.

Tickets to each of the films cost £10. The best bit? You can get tickets to all six films plus the concert for a cool £30.

Musical aficionados might also be interested to know Matthew Morrison (from Glee) is performing at Bush Hall next Thursday.

The London Musical Film Festival runs from 15 to 18 June at Bush Hall, 310 Uxbridge Road, London, W12 7LJ. Visit bushhallmusic.co.uk to find out more.
