Preview: Princefest @ The ICA

Fans of the Purple One haven't had it so good since his famed 2007 residency at the O2. Over two days this weekend, the ICA hosts Princefest, a mini-season dedicated to the multifarious oeuvre of Prince Rogers Nelson (to give him his full title).

The season takes in his key cinematic efforts, Purple Rain (1984) and Graffiti Bridge (1990), alongside his directorial debut, Under the Cherry Moon (1986); a concert film of seminal 1987 album Sign O' the Times; a discussion about Prince's influence on fashion; and a 19-guitar interpretation of Purple Rain. And those who think they can improve upon the vocals on Alphabet Street should head to the Prince Karaoke.

Princefest runs from 14-15 December at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Below is a video introducing the season.
