Meow Meow’s Little Match Girl: Southbank Centre Ticket Offer

This is a sponsored post on behalf of the Southbank Centre.

International cabaret sensation Meow Meow comes to Southbank Centre with the UK premiere of Meow Meow's Little Match Girl.

The show is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s bittersweet tale of a starving, abused girl selling matches on the winter streets, staring into the windows of the rich on New Year’s Eve as she freezes to death outside.

However, with Meow Meow’s reputation for breaking the rules and taking audiences on a wild ride, this won’t be your usual Christmas fairy tale, combining fantastical flights of fancy with cut-throat comedy and a dark edge.

For this Christmas extravaganza, directed by Marion Potts, Meow Meow is joined by Australian actor Chris Ryan and musical director Lance Horne. The show features songs by composers and musicians ranging from Cole Porter to The Magnetic Fields, Wagner to Laurie Anderson, with new songs written by Meow Meow and Iain Grandage.

Meow Meow’s Little Match Girl is at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall from 13 – 30 December.

Ticket offer: best available seats for only £22.50 — quote CABARET at www.southbankcentre.co.uk/meowmeow or call 0844 847 9910. Available for all 13 – 19 December performances inclusive, subject to availability. Offer expires 19 December.

Part of The Winter Festival at Southbank Centre.
