Want to be at the BFI London Film Festival Nintendo Gala and UK Premiere of The Sapphires?

This fun '60s soul film set in Australia, starring Chris O'Dowd, and based on the hugely successful stage musical of the same name is a big draw in itself.

However, it's being trailed by a 3D screening of Summer in the City — the winning entry of Nintendo's 3D short film competition, supported by Ridley Scott. As the stills above suggest, this 60-second stop animation film is about London 2012 and was created by London student, Nick Pratt, who is studying Japanese at SOAS. Nick's film was originally shot on his Nintendo 3DS - now it's been made into an amazingly high quality 3D short by a professional crew which included one of the main animators from Tim Burton's films.

The Nintendo Gala screening takes place on Monday 15 October at 6pm at the Odeon West End, Leicester Square. If you want to be in with a chance to be at this sold out event, simply enter your name and email address into the form below.

A winner will be selected at random on Friday at noon. The winner will be notified by email that afternoon. Usual Londonist competition policy applies.
