Our pick of where to find funny next week
Sunday: Hmm. Sharpen elbows to get a ticket for Stephen Merchant and Dan Atkinson at Up The Creek in Greenwich (7/30pm, £6 / £4).
Monday: It's probably fair to call Adam Bloom an old comedy hand now; we wonder if he'll be handing out the tips and anecdotes to bright young things Luke Benson, Nathan Cassidy and Laura Carr at the Good Ship (8.30pm, £4 / £5).
Tuesday: Nick Doody, Yianni Agisilaou and this year's BBC Newcomer Award winner Angela Barnes are on the bill at Leicester Square's 99 Club (8.30pm, £8 if booking online, significantly more if you don't).
Wednesday: There are eight new acts trying stuff out at the Comedy Cafe in Shoreditch. If you don't like one, another will be along in a minute (9pm and it's free).
Thursday: Kerry Godliman headlines Putney's Comedy Tree, with support from Aussie Comedy Tree co-founder Pete Jonas and Philberto, sort-of Portuguese reality star (8.30pm, £7 / £4).
Friday: Get sketchy at the Hen and Chickens Theatre with, uh, Sketch Department employees Mel Hudson, Kate O'Sullivan and Alex Baldacci (7.30pm, £7.50). It's their AGM; bring your annual review notes.
Saturday: Philberto is back (OK, real name Milo McCabe) at the Bearcat, with Julian Dean and Lucy Porter heading up proceedings (8pm, £8).
