This Thursday marks the fourth annual Stag and Dagger Festival, in venues across Shoreditch. But if you'd prefer that your gig going remain stationary for an evening, there are still plenty of alternatives this week:

Tuesday's eclectic line-up includes reto synth/fuzz pairing Moon Duo at Corsica Studios, modernist folk trio the Rural Alberta Advantage is at Bush Hall, and alt-country act the Travelling Band are at the Nest.

Wednesday, psych poppers Erland and the Carnival are at the Garage. Looking for some proper heartbreak? The Black Heart Procession are at the Tabernacle.

Thursday, Americana outfit the Dodos are back at Scala.

Friday, the Toronto hardcore band with the potentially life-threatening live performance Fucked Up are at Village Underground with Flats.

Saturday sees the return of the Bizarre Summer Ball at Scala. Headlining this year are the Futureheads.
