Tonight: Free Films at the Herne Hill Velodrome

Calling all cyclists, fairweather and otherwise! Calling all film buffs! There's something for all of you tonight at the Herne Hill Velodrome, which has just recently been granted reprieve from an uncertain future. Those nice people at Free Film Festivals are laying on an evening of free, pedal powered cinema.
From 6.30pm - 8pm, before the show, you are invited to bring your two wheeled friends along and make like an Olympian by vrooming round the track. If you still have any energy left, the organisers are also looking for people to help power the projectors. The films kick off at 8.30pm: the main ticket is Belleville Rendezvous, an animated film about...cycling. A number of shorts will also be shown.
Refreshments will be available, but you are urged to bring along a blanket or some such to sit on. Best pack a brolly as well.
