Obligatory Royal Wedding Food and Drink Offers

Whether you're looking to dine like a future king or taking a let them eat Kate mentality toward
the royal wedding, here's a narrowed down list of restaurant and bar specials going on in honour of Will and Kate's big day.

The Gun (27 Coldharbour, E14 9NS) is holding a riverside al fresco royal wedding street party this Friday from 10am to 10pm with the wedding to be shown on three 42” plasmas along with “bunting, brass band music, Union Jacks and long trestle tables piled high with food and drink” with £25 and £10 options. For £25 per person, guests can take a place at one of the Gun's large dining tables and enjoy a pint of Pimm’s or a large glass of “Royal Punch” along with spit-roast royal venison with roast potatoes, Savoy cabbage and red current jelly followed by traditional Eton Mess. Alternatively, a tenner allows you to stand and mingle, enjoy two pints of Pimm’s or two large glasses of “Royal Punch”. The Gun is also hosting an outdoor market stall selling traditional pub grub such as Scotch eggs, salt beef sandwiches, English cheeses, Victoria sponge and ice cream cones served from a vintage ice cream tricycle.

More bunting will be strung at Stoke Newington's Baby Bathhouse (125 Church Street, N16 0UH) with live music, face painting, DJs, toffee apples and Katie and William Masks for all. Free entry from 1pm to late.

Benito’s Hat (three locations in Central London) will be wrapping up a “burrito'd” version of a traditional Mexican wedding feast with a chicken mole special, sparkling Tequila and heart-shaped tres leches cakes with chocolate sauce all available until 8 May. Prices range from £4.75 for two mole tacos to £23.95 for a meal for two (a chicken mole burrito each, a dessert to share and a sparkling Tequila cocktail each). BH will also be making deliveries to St James’s Park this Friday as well. Contact the restaurant for details.

From 29 April, YO! Sushi will offer a special smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber sushi “sandwich” for £2.50 along with a limited edition (only 2000 available) Royal Wedding commemorative plate portraying Wills and Kate as “loved-up lucky kittens, standing in front of a Union Jack with the date of their nuptials clearly displayed”. From the 29th April, a plate will be available to buy for just £2.50 (payment in installments will not be available). Proceeds from sales of the plate will go to the Help for Heroes charity, which seeks to rehabilitate wounded British soldiers – a cause close to Prince William’s heart.

For those with more of a budget to blow, Quaglino's (16 Bury Street, SW1Y 6AJ) will celebrate with a gala dinner and dance with a live swing band and menu featuring dishes honouring past royal milestones such as Bisque De Homard (Silver Jubilee menu 1977). Tickets are priced at £60 per person with a £10 donation for every ticket going to The Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton Charitable Gift Fund.

Atop the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane with views Buckingham Palace, Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows will offer a royal wedding lunch menu. And if you're name is either Will or Kate, they'll give you a free glass of Champagne as well. The menu featuring Dorset crab, kohlrabi, espelette and honeycomb with poached fillet of wild turbot and more will be available from the 26 April to 28 April, from £45 per person from 12 to 3 pm daily. On 29 April there will be a special five course set menu at £95 per person. The champagne offer is available from 26 to 29 April and proof of name must be presented in the form of passport/ID/driving license.
