Fancyapint? Nine Fine Pubs For Spring Drinking

Fancyapint recommend 9 pubs to us, all of which were classed top banana when visited by FAP reviewers in March. Pubs in spring are mighty fine. The extra hours of daylight just begging to be spent with a beer in hand - the streets of Covent Garden and Soho were packed with after work drinkers Friday evening, soaking up the last of the heat with the dregs of their pint. Why 9? The other one was in Surrey.

- Filthy McNasty's Whiskey Cafe (Angel
Guinness, Whiskey, music, poetry - a heady combination.

- Cask Pub and Kitchen (Pimlico)
Since a management change in 2009, this pub has gone from strength to strength

- The Draft House (Bermondsey)
So many beers to choose from.

- Colton Arms (Hammersmith)
Old school charm.

- Duke of Hamilton (Hampstead)
Thankfully rescued from the developers, one of our favourites back firmly on the map.

- The Speaker3P_sl.jpg (Westminster
A friendly local where the landlord, takes the trouble to get to know you.

- New Rose (Islington)
"Just another pub" - we think it's much better than that.

- Pembury Tavern (Hackney)
Every day seems like a beer festival here.

- Mason & Taylor (Shoreditch)
A modern pub with an excellent beer menu and fine British food.

Have you tried the Fancyapint App yet? Jonathan Seet says:

Generally, not a bad showing. It's a simple proposition and it does what one would expect, in general. However, I'd like to see List sorting by rating. I'd also like to see the app make use of the device's camera and allow you to submit photos of an establishment.

Also, in Map mode, if you zoom out too far it tells you "Too many pubs to display, zoom in to view." This seems arbitrary and I would contend that there are not, in fact, too many pubs to display.

Feedback given. Try it out and let us know what you think.

It's all about going to the pub at Fancyapint.com
