Last time Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters touched down in London it was to play two massive nights at Wembley Stadium back in 2008. So, fans will be pleased to hear that the mainstream rockers will be crossing the road to play Wembley Arena on 25 February. By their standards, the 12,500-capacity former swimming pool is practically an intimate venue.
The show in question is the NME Big Gig, an annual shindig which usually comes a day or two after the magazine's awards ceremony. Despite having already announced a slew of summer shows, the Foos have such mainstream appeal that tickets will sell fast. They go on sale at 9am on Wednesday from the NME website.
