Rising Stars in Bethnalham opens today at High Roller Society with an eclectic mix of art inspired or otherwise derived from London's East End. Urgent, sarcastic, reflective or cranky, all the works from the dozen or so up-n-comers (along with a few more established London street art favourites) grab the viewer's attention with insistence. Particularly engaging to us at last night's PV were Jackie Clark's painted then scrawled upon impressionistic miniature renderings of train trips into London. Ruder and quirkier works by graffiti artist Shuby (pictured) caught our smirking attention as well.
