Banjo or Freakout Releases Free Christmas Album

If hearing Shakin' Stevens, Band Aid and Mariah Carey bleating happily about Christmas every five minutes is driving you mad, then we may have a bit of a solution for you. Hotly tipped multi-instrumentalist Banjo or Freakout has recorded a special festive album 'XA2010' which he's kindly released for free for the first 1000 downloads via BandCamp. All you need to give him is your email address.

Banjo or Freakout is otherwise known as Alessio Natalizia, an Italian producer who's been living in London for the last five years. After the release of several self-released critically acclaimed singles, he's been signed up to Memphis Industries and will release his debut album in February. If looping dreamy, yet mournful pop is your bag, then Banjo should be on your most-awaited releases for the next year.

Download his Christmas album here and if you really like it you can buy his new 7" single '105' at Rough Trade and then get a CD copy of his festive hits for free.
