Music Choice: 22-28 November

Field MusicThe weather's been miserable, it's getting dark too early, winter is closing in on us. Obviously the best way to beat the doldrums is rock music:

Tonight's options are slightly aggro and straight-up aggro. Brooklyn's Les Savy Fav are playing the Electric Ballroom with Cloud Nothings. Treading the fine line between stoner and artsy are Torche, who play the Garage.

Tuesday gives you another chance to see Les Savy Fav openers Cloud Nothings at Madame Jojo's. Also playing are Sunderland siblings Field Music, who bring their throwback pop music to Koko.

Prolific Portland experimental folksters Blitzen Trapper are at the Garage on Wednesday.

Brooklyn's the Drums are playing with Violens and Two Wounded Birds at Forum. Wednesday's show is sold out, but tickets are still available for Thursday.

Also playing Thursday are InMe, who continue playing through the back catalogue, this week with White Butterfly.

Friday brings Sigur Rós man Jónsi and his eye-popping stage show to the Hammersmith Apollo. For something a little less mellow, catch Marnie Stern shred on her guitar and make dirty jokes between songs at Lexington.

Saturday, pop rocker and collaborator extraordinaire Bobby Conn at the Windmill.
