Tonight: Join a City of Westminster Guide tonight for a culinary themed stroll around gaslit St James'. Meet the guide at the entrance to Green Park next to the Ritz at 6.25pm, £5. Full details including a map are here.

Come down to the Jewel Bar, Piccadilly from 6pm, check in on Foursquare, help us all win the Superswarm badge and you'll get a free glass of fizz. Do it!

It's also First Thursday again so head east for art and don't forget to check out the photomonth exhibitions.

Friday: Get facted Story of London style at the Londonist Quiz at the Royal Institution. 7pm, £8 a team of up to 5 people (all proceeds to charity).

200 artists exhibit over 100,000 sq ft of warehouse space in Southall for Rhizomatic at Departure Gallery, 5-6 Boeing Way, The International Trading Estate, Brent Road, Southall. Selected artists chose up to six artists to exhibit alongside them. In turn, those invited a further six participants, who could then invite six more. Free private view, 6-9.30pm.

Saturday: Still time to sign up for the London Transport Museum Scavenger Hunts in Hackney and Croydon. Free photo fun!

Dirty Converse Disco at the Kings Cross Social Club is just £5 after 10pm. Dirty Converse wearing highly recommended but not a essential.

The Oxjam gig at The Miller, London Bridge promises an eclectic night of live experimental music, alt-folk and avant-garde, visuals and Djs for just £5.

Sunday: It's Apple Day at Roots and Shoots in Lambeth. Adults £1, kids free, 11am-4pm.

Arcola Green Sunday occurs on the Global Day of Doing in Dalston at the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden and Arcola Theatre with film, music, reading, games and discussions exploring environmental and ecological themes that celebrate, question and propose different ways of viewing the state of our world.

Monday: This may be twice our usual £5 limit but we like the sound of its all inclusive package of pizza + drink + movie for £10 at Trattoria Sapori on Newington Green, N16.

Across town there's three free acoustic music acts at the Fox and Firkin, 316 Lewisham High St SE13.

Tuesday: Hear A talk on the History of M16 hosted by the Sohemian Society at The Wheatsheaf, Rathbone Place, W1 from 7.30pm, £3.

Wednesday: Experience the salsa sound of Venezuela with Conjunto Sabroso in the Clore Ballroom at the Royal Festival Hall, free from 9.30pm.
