Battle the work week with a couple of chances to get your dancing shoes on. Apologies to those looking for clubnights — we have none to offer — but we can suggest a few bands this week that will get your hips shaking. A few others that are lovely for different reasons.

If at all possible to beg, steal, or borrow a ticket to tonight's sold-out Sleigh Bells show at the Lexington, do so. The Brooklyn crunch synth pop duo are deserving of the hype that's followed them on their tour.

Comparitively, 60s influenced folk popper the Loger will be playing a cheerful though more subdued set at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen.

Wednesday, catch Lithuania songstress Alina Orlova at her only scheduled UK performance at the Vortex Jazz Club. For a bit of fresh air in the evening, head over to the Tamesis Dock for the launch of the Moulettes' debut album.

Thursday gives you the opportunity to experience theatrics with your fuzzed out guitars when Bo Ningen play upstairs at the Garage. They are almost worth seeing as much for their outfits as their riffs. Almost.

More chances for the promised dancing on Friday when Kiwi wunderkinds Bang Bang Eche spazz out electro style at Koko.
