Preview: Bastille Day Garden Party In Battersea Park

tricolore.jpg Hoist le Tricolore this Sunday for Battersea Park becomes a Francophile's dream with the second free Bastille Day Garden Party, on the jolly theme of "Paris à la folie".

Go for the whole day and play giant Petanque, taste wine and cheese and shop in the French market. Join the 100m picnic or revel in the guinguette - described thus: A free Bal populaire, musette, the troquet spirit seizes Battersea Park, with flonflons.

Yes, flonflons.

Cabaret comes can canning courtesy of the legendary Lido girls, there are adult and child cooking classes and even "La Course des garçons de cafés" - a waiter race with laden trays. At 5pm, all be upstanding for La Marseillaise. Allez!
