Preview: Ivor Cutler tribute 'What the Cutler Saw'

Fans of the “almost unclassifiable” Scottish poet, musician and all round eccentric creative bogle Ivor Culter will smile wryly at the thought of this Sunday’s 'What the Cutler Saw' tribute night taking place in the suitably wonky Betsey Trotwood pub on Farringdon Road.

Betsey herself is a Londonist top ten pub this week and the event’s Facebook page lists dozens of performers including poet Roddy Lumsden, Tim from the Boycott Coca-Cola Experience and cracking crackers chanteuse Jude Cowan. Some are certainly Cutler-influenced, some may pay tribute in an Abba-esque style way of imitating Cutler on stage with “"the demeanour and voice of the weariest human being ever to be cursed with existence".

But don’t let that put you off. The event runs from 4pm to 11pm, there’s a lot of tribute to pay, on Sunday 13 June and is free.
