Edinburgh Festival Comedy Previews: Etcetera Theatre

Who's doing what where in the run up to fringe season.

London's tiniest theatre is perfect for Edinburgh previews. Not only is it intimately ideal for a friendly try out audience, its resemblance to an attic room in Pleasance Courtyard is uncanny and perfect for acclimatising comedians to the special temperatures achieved in Edinburgh fringe venues come rain or shine. Dress light, folks. We love Etcetera and as a warm up to its own Fringe season (of the Camden variety) it's packed with preview shows throughout July. We're keen on a sneak peek at these:

  • Colin Hoult, Enemy of the World 3 July, 7.30pm, £6.50 (read up on his last show, Frankie vs the Reptile)
  • Matt Green "Bleeding Funny" could be excruciating, but hopefully for him not you, 5 July, 9.30pm, £6.50
  • Lady Garden is an excellent name for a female sketch comedy group 9-10 July, 7.30pm, £7
  • DELETE THE BANJAX... and you bring daft and surreal sketch comedy and songs on 19 July, 9.30pm, £6.50
  • Barry and Stuart's Seance Show tries out magic in progress, 24 July, 9.30pm, £7
  • This year's Cambridge Footlights cast present Good For You pre Edinburgh and pre international tour on 26 July, 9.30pm, £10
  • And much more... all listings here.

Etcetera Theatre is upstairs at the Oxford Arms, 265 Camden High Street NW1. Book online, call 020 7482 4857 or buy on the door.
