Phil Kay, "stand-up comedy's answer to spontaneous human combustion"
The savoury snack themed comedy club returns next week with a night of Edfest previews at Albert and Pearl (formerly the Medicine Bar). Headlined by Glaswegian comedy maverick Phil Kay (not Peter or Paul), the night promises five comedians trying out new material for Edinburgh and all for a fiver. Lee Kern, Tom Allen and Rob Beckett are billed with the lure of a mystery guest, which given all the big names are out with work in progress at the moment, could be just about anyone.
The Pork & Pickle Pie Comedy Club Grand Edinburgh Preview night is at Albert and Pearl, 181 Upper Street, N1 on Wednesday 9 June at 8pm. £5 admission includes slice of the eponymous pie.
