The Temptress
Following on from the Birds Eye Film Festival earlier this year, Birds Eye View matches world-class contemporary musicians with classic silent films at Kings Place.

The screenings mix excellence in music and film with specially commissioned live scores written and performed by cutting edge female artists to soundtrack stunning silent films starring iconic leading ladies, including Greta Garbo in The Temptress and Gloria Swanson in comedy I Don't Want To Be A Man. The Elysian Quartet, Juice, Mercury Award nominated Zoe Rahman and Brit Award winning classical cellist Natalie Clein provide the music.

There's also a panel discussion about female music creators, chaired by the most excellent Miranda Sawyer (Kate Nash haters look away now...).

Check out Sounds and Silents' Kings Place listings for 27, 28 and 29 May online.
