April Green Corner Winners Announced

Foyles, Charing Cross Rd
The first Green Corner Awards have been announced. For April, applause for Foyles on Charing Cross Road with their Urban Growing window display (pictured). The incredible front garden at 27 Blenheim Road, London NW8 cheers up passers by and Rosemary Works Planting and Art Project, N1 is making a Hackney stretch of Regents Canal more beautiful. 21 Stanley Crescent, London W11 apparently does not have a patch of extraneous outdoor space not covered in exuberant flowerage and foliage. Inspired? We're eyeing our mournful bare windowsill right now....

Green Corners is an initiative of the Conservation Foundation and celebrates those areas of London that have been spruced up, landscaped, greened, garnished, planted, prettified, flowered up and nurtured. It also recognises those wonderful people who actively care for, maintain and develop precious patches of greenable space in the city for all of us.

Anyone can nominate a Green Corner and we heartily encourage you to. Nominations are now open for May and the awards run throughout the year to get seasonal spots at their best. Find out more at the Green Corners Facebook page and the Conservation Foundation website.
