Free Poetry & Spoken Word @ Pullens Estate Tonight

pullens.jpg Rumour of a new, hyperlocal poetry and spoken word festival in Walworth reached us this week. Scotching the notion that if you can't find it on the internet it ain't happening, we ventured to SE17 last night and had a cracking time, treated to local performance poetry talent, the wonderful participative storytelling of Sandra Agard, a serene musical set from Nigel of Bermondsey all tied together by Chris Roberts with a deck of tall tales. Tonight the Pullens Estate draws John Hegley down from north of the river, so why don't you take your chances too? Fine, free and friendly entertainment at the Pullens Centre, 184 Crampton Street, SE17 between 7-11pm. (Image of Pullens Estate terrace / Yersinia under a CC licence - have a look at it larger)
