Tonight is the longest night of the year. Some take this as a signal to hunker down with some chips, put the heating on and watch University Challenge but others find it cause for celebration. Be inspired by the fact that we're currently tilted as far away from the sun as possible and join the Winter Solstice walk tonight. Meet at the Unity Unitarian Church next to the Fire Station on Upper Street, Islington at 7pm and wear warm socks. Expect "words, chanting, music, silence, candle lighting, and a candle-lit labyrinth walking meditation" and much feasting from 9pm. If you don't fancy venturing out tonight, you could stay in and listen to Transpontine's lovely Winter Solstice song, "On Snow Hill".
