With the Christmas party season upon us, the streets will be littered with vile drunken bodies and pavement pizzas. The transport network is vital at this time of year for helping us all get home safe, so here's a photographic celebration of some transport minutiae.

If you can't get a tube, bus, train or official black cab, don't be tempted to get into an illegal minicab solicited by someone on the street or accept a lift from a kerb crawler. Only ever get in a minicab if you or your company ordered it beforehand from a recognised company.

As mentioned previously, TfL are trying to crack the problem with a hard-hitting campaign against illegal minicabs. The rather unnerving video (for the over-15s only) has now been released and you can watch it here.

And remember to store the Cabwise number on your phone. By texting the line, you'll get the numbers of one taxi and two licensed minicab firms, in the area you are texting from.

Mr Thant

Dear Londonist readers,

Londonist is only posting this video because they're being paid to by Go Viral. They are paid by the amount of views it gets, so if you would like them to be rich, please watch it.

Please do not think they are posting this because they actually care.

Jane

This post is of my own doing. As far as I am aware Londonist is not making any money out of this video.
I had already posted it on my own site and yes, I am making a teeny tiny profit per hit thru GoViral (so I'll prob end up with about a £1).
Please be sure that I would NEVER post any links on here or on my own site, for money or not, that I didn't totally agree with.
I hope that clears things up as this is a very valid campaign.
Thanks, Jane

Mr Thant

So, just to be clear, you're making money from posting this to Londonist. With no disclosure, not even to the Londonist editors?

Holy shit you have no ethics.

Lindsey

To be clear, no, we were not making any money out of this. Londonist was approached by 'Go Viral' to participate but we don't accept money for virals and don't carry any kind of 'covert paid advertising'.

We had also already posted about the campaign because we thought it was important.

This situation arose from a misunderstanding. We have now removed the embedded video and linked to it on YouTube.
