Future Blackout? Play The Energy Game @ Dana Centre

FutureBlackOut.jpg We can vouch for fun games making us think creatively around green issues and learn something however much wine is consumed. With ghost trees in Trafalgar Square and pressure on politicians to take action at Copenhagen, we're pleased that Future Blackout? is coming to the Dana Centre next week.

The Energy Game is organised by Serious Change and based on Professor David MacKay's book 'Without Hot Air'. Their simulator calculates the real numbers behind our energy needs. Eschewing government meetings and white papers, teams will be armed with magnetic whiteboards, magic markers and other props to give a visual representation of the energy we demand (and don't necessarily need) and where that energy might come from. You will be challenged to make better choices than the politicians - grasp this opportunity. Fed and watered by the lovely Dana Centre bar, we're sure you can.

The Science Museum's 'Prove it' website might help give some background, whether you're playing the game or not. And while we're thinking green, can you cut 10% of your emissions in 2010?

Future Blackout? is at the Dana Centre on 3rd December between 7-9pm. Free but please book Call 020 7942 4040 or e-mail tickets@danacentre.org.uk.
