Last Minute Listing 2: Duke Special @ National Theatre

The quite marvellous Duke Special has written brand new songs for the National's production of Brecht's Mother Courage and her Children. You can see him and his band onstage or, if you prefer to catch his loveliness in a more gig-ified fashion, they'll be performing free in the theatre foyer every Friday after the show. The first one's tonight, and they're also playing tomorrow night as a test to see whether two shows and a late night rock-out is too much to continue doing Saturdays. The gig should start around 11pm, and the Long Bar will be open throughout. Mother Courage closes 8 December. Image by Richard Gilligan.
