Make a video of yourself doing your thing, choose a channel (music, acting, sports, 'specialist'?!) and upload. The community vote on your videos and maybe you make the top of the chart that week. Voila - you're exposed to the world and en-route to virtual fame and fortune. But what about the real world?
The comedy channel is making strides offline with the Noostar Comedy Night at Freedom Bar, Soho. Top talent is doing its funnies live in a bar on 30 September to lure more comedy fans and aspirant stands up to the site. Joe Lycett, Naz Osmanoglu, Sadie Hasler and Chris Ramsey line up alongside headliners Kevin Bridges and Jack Whitehall. Are these the big draw names of the future?
