Dem Bones

Once again we were reminded of London's buried history this week as bone fragments believed to date back to the Blitz were unearthed in Regent's Park. London's rich archaeological strata regularly comes to light, as Crossrail workmen found recently. Over in Stratford at the Olympic site, finds include a 4000 year old axe and four prehistoric skeletons while work on the East London Line led to an exhibition of the artefacts discovered. See the Museum of London's fascinating archaeology site for more details.
