Devil to be Invoked at the O2

Well, you never know. This isn't quite as exciting as it sounds, so banish images of naked midnight cavortings. At 6pm on the 6th of the 6th (that's this Saturday), bells are to ring out around the world in celebration of a re-working of godfather of electronica Mike Oldfield's classic album Tubular Bells. So one for hippy campanologists rather than devil worshippers, although the timing (apart from being an attention seeking PR stunt) is a reflection of the fact that the music was used to such good effect in The Exorcist. The London event will be held at the O2 as part of the British Music Experience, and the bells are courtesy of the Hand Bell Ringers of Great Britain. (Image/Simon Rigglesworth)
