Last Minute Listing: Park Stories

More of a penultimate minute listing, really. Just wanted to give you the heads up about this,as it sounds like a bit of fun. The Royal Park Keepers have 'commissioned' a stack of stories by a chapter of writers. Well, eight of them to be precise, one for each Royal Park. Will Self has attached himself to Bushy Park, Adam Thorpe has written about Hyde Park, and Hanan al Shaykh about Kensington Gardens. Other writers include Nicola Barker, Shena Mackay, William Boyd and Ali Smith. And there are public readings attached: performances kick off with Claire Wigfall by the bandstand in St. James' Park at 6.30pm tomorrow. (Image/Simon Rigglesworth.)
