TFL Vow To Fix Dangerous Crossings

The London Assembly Lib Dems recently revealed that as many as one in five of London’s crossings do not provide pedestrians with enough time to get from one side of the street to t'other. Transport for London (TFL) now plan to update the crossings, hopefully providing more time for grannies, people with small dogs, and dilly dalliers alike to...(avoid chicken joke here) get to the other side. On a serious note, London currently ranks at the top of the UK list for 'pedestrian road deaths and serious injuries,' with Islington highlighted as one of the worst areas for pedestrian safety. For the sake of anyone who has felt a sense of impending doom-by-motorbike at a busy intersection, let’s hope TFL succeeds. By Caroline Dickie.
