Get Your Free Art On The Underground

Remember the poster giveaway to mark the rebranding of Art on the Underground? Nabbing artwork instead of a freesheet turned out to be so popular, they're at it again. To coincide with the opening of artist Richard Long's show at Tate Britain, 60,000 free prints of a specially commissioned artwork, "One Thing Leads to Another - Everything is Connected", will be given away on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 June. Be at Stanmore, Wembley Park, Finchley Road, Baker Street, Green Park, Westminster, London Bridge, Canada Water, Canary Wharf, Stratford between 7am and noon to grab yours. Art on the Underground will be following this up with badges and book giveaways later this year.

"At Southwark tube station Peter McDonald has designed badges as part of his commission Art for Everybody – the public have to strike up a conversation with a staff member at the station and will be given a badge. He has also made a brand new painting for the billboards outside the station.

At Cockfosters, Uxbridge and Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (the three ends of the Piccadilly line), passengers can pick up the book Piccadillyland, a contemporary novel made up of writing by 124 novelists’ works which are all based on the Piccadilly line, compiled into a new narrative by artists Emma Rushton and Derek Tyman."
