The Tate Modern Adventure Playground

0604.tate.jpg Let's face it: the Tate Modern is more like an iconic art-theme park than a gallery. Hey, they've already featured slides. Now they're going the whole way with an interactive playground. Whoop de doop! What's not to like? Adventure and culture mixed in. And a bit of modern art history as it happens, for Robert Morris' installation Bodyspacemotionthings was actually first built at the Tate in 1971. The new work will be thoroughly modernised - no more rough plywood - much to the chagrin of at least one wit at Londonist Towers who was relishing the prospect of spending the summer "picking splinters out of the backsides" of lady visitors. Hmm. The exhibit can be enjoyed from 22nd-25th May. See you there.
