Free This Afternoon?

If you're in the West End and get sick of all those people out enjoying the Spring sun on the shopping strip then beetle off Oxford Street to Manchester Square and find the Wallace Collection. Not only is this fine Georgian House gawpworthy in itself but a new exhibition opened this week: Treasures of the Black Death showcasing a hoard of buried medieval treasure. The Wallace Collection is free and open daily 10-5 and is the home to the face of McEwan's lager, the Laughing Cavalier.
