Book Now: London Lore at Bishopsgate Institute

The Holly King from the Lions Part
If you like lurking in cemeteries, local folklore and are first to sign up for the Londonist walks then egad have we got good news for you - SELFS and the Folklore Society present London Lore, a one day conference on Saturday 25 April at the Bishopsgate Institute.

The conference will discuss magical talisman collections, seasonal celebrations, urban witchcraft and contemporary mysteries. You'll meet the Jack-in-the-Green, learn the secrets of Crossbones Graveyard, hear stories of the city's rats and ravens, and discover London's people through their own stories and beliefs. Whether you're into witchcraft, beasts and paganism, or simply love stories and the city around you, there'll be a bunch of like-minded enthusiasts hanging out in the high ceilinged Great Hall of little known but quietly inspiring Bishopsgate Institute. Leave anoraks and preconceptions at the door.

Book your place in person at Bishopsgate Institute, over the phone on 020 7392 9220 or download the form and send by carrier pigeon with the mere £10/8 conc. fee.
