Untold London has been doing sterling work for a number of years unearthing and sharing stories from this city's diverse communities. In October they launched a writing competition to lure LGBT stories out of the closet to expand on the history of London from a gay perspective and grow their pool of writing talent. The deadline for entering the competition is 8 January, so the next couple of weeks might provide the ideal, last minute opportunity for you to get your words and tales together, in between festive feeds and frivolities, to contribute to this fascinating project. They're looking for the "the pride and the prejudice, the sensible and the highly senseless" so go crazy. Rules, regs and prize details all online.
