Christmas is coming! But you’re so busy writing lists that you haven’t given a thought to entertaining the Little Londoners in your life. Fret not. We’ve lined up fabulous (and some free) family fun for you. (As of publishing tickets are available – but book soon.)

Oh yes she is! Until 3 January 2009, Cinders is on at the Shaw Theatre (ages 3+) and the Lyric Theatres (ages 7+), and you can still buy tickets. Little Londoners love the participation and experience of this family-friendly farcical feast.

Lyric Hammersmith, Lyric Square, King Street, W6 0QL. Box Office 0871 22 117 29.

The Shaw Theatre, 100-110, Euston Road, NW1 2AJ w. Book online.

Or take in a show specially for under 5s: Fly Penguin Fly at the Children’s House for Music on Sunday 14th December at 11am & 2pm.

Bush Hall, 310 Uxbridge Rd, W12 7LJ. Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for children and under 1's get in free.

Tell Santa! Advanced booking for the Santa’s Grotto in Selfridges is sold out but there are a limited number of tickets available each day, on a first come, first serve basis. (Tickets cost £2 each). Santa will also be making an appearance at John Lewis (the toy department, 4th floor) where Little Londoners can use the special postbox to send a letter straight to Father Christmas. (All letters will receive a personalised reply!)

Window Shopping: Have some fun taking in the Christmas windows as the department stores on Oxford Street vie for first place (and our hearts, minds and pockets). The windows at Debenhams feature friendly and, more importantly to little eyes, moving animals which will enrapture the littl’un.

Get your skates on! Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace still have tickets for ice-skating. Take the family for a whirl in an historic environment, then enjoy hot chocolate in the cafe.

Tra la-la-la! For the perfect ending to your Christmas Tale, take in some carolling at Trafalgar Square. Daily until 20th December at 5pm and 9pm. Children and adults of all ages are welcome. (Free). Or for some afternoon carols, go to the Horniman Museumon Sunday 14th December from 3pm – 6pm, 100 London Rd, Forest Hill, London, SE23 3PQ.
