Forget London on the Cheap for a minute. If you're a true London geek with a proper taste for public transport then you need to check the piggy bank and make sure your eBay account is active. London Transport Museum if having a big ole auction with some awesome lots, if you can bid big enough. A tour of the disused Aldwych tube station - of much film fame but no longer open to the public - is a premium pull, but the use of an entire Routemaster bus and driver for a night also appeals immensely. But then, so does possession of some genuine tube signs, 'Back the Bid' 2012 posters from way back when the 'Lypmics were a London pipe dream and a tour of a brand new, high speed 'bullet train'.

For those wierdos amongst us who think public transport is less than exciting you can also shell out for dinner at the top of the Gherkin, a signed England football shirt and some golf guff but come on, surely a bus driving simulator experience at Willesden Garage, replete with snack lunch at the depot and an open top bus tour, is where your savings should be stacking up?

The auction goes live today! If you can, help London Transport Museum fulfil its aims and place your bids now.
