Canada Day

For those of you not in the know, it's Canada Day on Tuesday 1st July. And unlike last year, Canadians, and those who enjoy them, will get a chance to celebrate Canada Day in Trafalgar Square. We support celebrating holidays on the actual day of the holiday, so are very pleased with this.

This year, the celebrations last two days, but you're pretty much out of luck for the concert on Monday 30th June unless you pre-booked tickets. We think your better bet is to head down to Trafalgar Square on the 1st for the full-on Canada Day festivities. The celebrations start at 11am, and last until 22:15.

Our picks for the day include the "Quebec fun tent: 18th Century French gossiping ladies" and the street hockey competition. If you don't know much about Canada and fancy popping by to learn a bit as well as have some fun, there are also tourism booths and culinary displays so you can brush up on your Canadian knowledge.

Definitely a fun way to spend a Tuesday, we think. And very Canadian, eh?
