Music Choice: Monday 12th May - Friday 16th May

This week we previewed the brilliant Atmospheres 2 festival happening over at the Museum of Garden history until Monday. We also introduced you all to rising star Tawiah, announced that Mandela is going to be going to his own concert, and gave you all the details about Coldplay's upcoming free gig at Brixton Academy.

Vampire Weekend

If you like the idea of sweating it out in some subterranean venue on Monday night, then Mogwai and Yeasayer both play sold out shows, at the Southbank Centre and ULU respectively. If you want something a bit different, then alt-country indie rockers Lucero play 93 Feet East - tickets are £8 each. If you want more chaotic evening, the indie punks Meat Puppets play Scala - tickets are £14 each.

Vampire Weekend and Finch both play sold out shows on Tuesday night, at the Electric Ballroom and Scala respectively. Indie experimentalists The Mae Shi play KCLSU - tickets are £8 each. The Music play ULU as part of their four cities tour - tickets are £12.50 for what is sure to be one of their last "small" London dates before their summer tour as they play the Astoria.

Noise Rockers Times New Viking play Barden's Boudoir on Wednesday night - tickets are £6 each. If you want something a bit more old school, the Backstreet Boys play the O2. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster (unfortunately).

Thursday night sees Dinosaur Jr. play Koko - tickets are £17.50 each. Electro geniuses Ladytron play the Astoria ahead of their new album, Velocifero which is released on 3rd June. Tickets are £14.50 each. The Charlatans play the Forum, with tickets are £25 each, and Jesse Malin plays ULU - tickets are £13 each.

The highlight of Friday night for this Londonista is undoubtably the live return of Delays, who play Koko ahead of a triumphant home-coming show in Southampton on Saturday. Tickets are £14 each. Alternatively, Girls Aloud play the O2 for the first of two consecutive nights. Finally, Iron & Wine play the Forum - tickets are £15 each.

We always recommend ethical gig trading site Scarlet Mist as your first port of call for tickets particularly when they're sold out, so check them out and beat the touts. Failing that Gumtree is always a friend.
