The Weather With You

We haven't got outside today but from this Londonist perch it's looking and sounding like the harbingers of Armageddon are wreaking their dirty havoc on us.

Yet, whilst one old lady just walked past with an inside-out umbrella held defiantly above her rain-bonnetted, anoraked, stumbling personage, the postie just sailed past in short shirtsleeves.

Tell us, what's it like where you are?

I just saw a bird flying backwards past my office window. Against its will, mind. Things aren't pretty out there.

As for postmen, they're a breed apart. My dad was one for many years, and to this day he retains a complete indifference to inclement weather.

The whistling wind woke me up this morning. I'm about to venture out to forage. Wish me luck!

Drizzling miserably around Fleet Street. Wind sounds fairly hairy so I'm not looking forward to venturing out for lunch.

Rainy and blustery to the point the curtains are blowing in on a closed window (maybe we should get that draft taken care of). I'll probably have to go out a bit, but I don't think I'll be going far.

It was really brisk about an hour ago. Not so bad right now, but ...

I saw a magpie chasing a seagull over the rooftops of Chalk Farm. Not sure if it's anything to do with the weather. But possibly another harbinger of Armageddon.

I'm in Brighton and wanted to play by the sea today. Instead I have hid in my hotel room.

I'm quite looking forward to coming back to London tomorrow... even if it is still raining.
