Cameras at the ready. It's time to get Green. That's the theme of the Shoot Photomonth's event being held this Saturday. But green what? Well, anything really. Traffic lights, jumpers, trees, jelly beans. Even the bit of mould you cut off the loaf of bread this morning. Just as long at it's green.

Now you have to register for this event in advance which is why we're telling you about it now. But it's going to be a whole load of fun and you get to practise taking pretty pictures around the city too. This has to be a good thing as we've been getting inspired by all the snapping going on recently.

So, what's the story? Well, all you need to do it get a team of 2-4 people together. Then meet at The Art Pavilion in Mile End Park (see, more green). Then it's pretty simple really - just get snapping. Whatever you want. Everything. Green shoes green cars green grass green stuff.

The best thing about this event is that everything will be different. Everyone taking part will have a different take on the theme and we're really excited to see the results. Feel free to drop your favourites onto the Londonist flickr for us to see!

Even though the event is much more about fun and learning than anything else, there's really great prizes too. Oh, have we not mentioned the free Tiger Beer yet? This is the perfect happy snapping day out. But we suggest you don't drink too much as you snap away otherwise it'll be you who's looking a bit green.
