The Chap And Hendrick's Olympiad

It's the Olympics! However, we are not referring to the vulgar splatter of neon colours and appalling lycra sportswear scheduled for 2012, we are instead referring to the good Olympics, the Olympics for proper gentlemen in proper sporting outfits made of tweed and real silk cravats taking place this weekend. We are talking about The Chap and Hendrick's Olympiad, full of sporting events and social mingling for those who know the difference between a four in hand and half-Windsor knot.

We absolutely loved last year's Olympics and are terribly excited about this weekend's event. Joint organisers Hendrick's Gin and The Chap - 'the gentlemen's quarterly that is both quarterly and for gentlemen.' Get there if you can. If you can't, put on your best cricket whites and improvise your own on some lawn somewhere; let us know how you get on with your Cucumber Sandwich Discus Throwing and if you get beyond the butler marking the 50 yard point, we'll toast you on Londonist with a cocktail and a plate of crumpets.

Tally bally ho, chaps! See you at the finish line!

The Chap and Hendrick's Olympiad, Saturday 14 July, Bedford Square, 1pm to 6pm. For more information, go to the Olympiad website here.
