If you're stuck for something to do tonight and you're not put off by the terrible weather, The Bees fly into town and play Brixton Academy. Despite releasing a terrific second album, the buzz about the band hasn't led to the promised land of commerical milk and honey, so tickets are still available for tonight's gig, at a cost of £15 last time we looked. Tom Vek supports. Ok, we'll bee-hive now. No more awful puns.

Friday night sees Londonist favourites The Pipettes play at Bush Hall in the curiously-named Turning Worm night. Entry is a piffling £6, which gets you a "a super-stellar new set complete with fab new tunes, swish new dance moves and even a surprise musical collaboration", as well as appearances from Kitty Daisy & Lewis, DJ Scotch Egg, Circulus and Pipettes main man Monster Bobby breaking loose from the band. What better way to start your weekend?
